The Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) has been enacted by the Parliament and has come into force from 15th June, 2005. This Act provides the right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.

Procedure for Application Seeking Information under RTI Act

  1. The application in the prescribed format may be submitted to the Public Information Officer.
  2. The prescribed fee as per RTI Act, 2005 shall be paid along with the application.
  3. The required information will be provided as per RTI Act, 2005.
