M.Com (Business Management) is a postgraduate programme offered as per NEP 2020 guidelines of the University of Mumbai. The programme is designed to provide students with advanced academic knowledge, managerial competence, and practical exposure in the field of commerce and business management.
The course aims to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world business practices by focusing on strategic thinking, analytical ability, professional intelligence, ethical values, and leadership skills. It prepares students to meet the challenges of the dynamic corporate environment and equips them with skills required for managerial, entrepreneurial, and research-oriented careers.
The programme emphasizes contemporary areas such as strategic management, human resource management, marketing strategies, consumer behaviour, corporate restructuring, service industry management, and emerging trends in business. It also encourages students to develop critical thinking, decision-making skills, and professional competence through practical learning and experiential exposure.

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Com (Business Management) programme must have completed a graduation degree in Commerce or Management (such as B.Com, BMS, BBA or equivalent) from a UGC-recognised university. Graduates from other disciplines may also be eligible if they have studied Commerce or Management as a major or minor subject or have earned the required credits as prescribed under the National Credit Framework.
Admission to the course offered by the rules framed by the University of Mumbai from time to time and will be given at the commencement of the first semester. Candidates seeking admission other than University of Mumbai or colleges affiliated to other recognized University must produce a Transfer Certificate from the college or University last attended.
