Achievers College of Commerce and Management’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was created on August 15, 2018. Given that the College was established in 2013, it was not mandated to have an IQAC for the First Cycle of NAAC Accreditation. Despite this, the Management’s formative decision to instate an IQAC at the early stages of the institution is a testament to the Management’s foresight and institutional maturity. It is a reflection of the commitment to quality, academic evolution, and growth on a continuous basis.
The IQAC, from the start, acted as the primary body for strategic planning and the monitoring of institutional quality. The IQAC instituted a framework of quality, the rational planning and monitoring of all academic activities, and the establishment of budgetary allocations for the activities of research. The IQAC recommended teachers to pursue higher studies through the attainment of Ph.D. qualifications, and urged students to take an active part in the projects, assignments, and internships. The IQAC was the driving force behind the automation of the teaching and learning processes, as well as the automation of the Library and the Administrative functions. It initiated the teaching of add-on certificate courses, and the use of Information and Communication Technologies. The institution’s internal review included Academic, Gender, Energy, and Environmental Audits. The IQAC was also responsible for the maintenance of quality records and the record-keeping of all activities and events, as well as the preparation for the First Cycle of NAAC. The academic year 2021–22 was historic for the journey of the IQAC as the College for the first time achieved NAAC Accreditation Cycle-I, securing Grade B+ with a CGPA of 2.66.
The IQAC at Achievers College of Commerce and Management expresses its devotion to quality, inclusive and holistic educational strategies through tireless efforts, careful planning, and devotion to maintaining responsibility. It continues to pursue innovation to ensure the promotion of an ever-improving academic culture to all of its community, including students and professors.
